Salt spray can help with allergies

The period of seasonal allergy begins at the end of March and can last until the beginning of October. It is divided into three: spring, summer and autumn. Весен In spring, patients react to plant pollen, when the leaves have not yet blossomed, and the pollen is already there.

Most often they react to alder, birch, hazel, poplar, maple, acacia, oak. Sporulation of fungi also occurs in the fall, which also causes an allergic reaction. ⠀ Many people with allergies are looking for simple and affordable treatments that can be used without time limits and who do not develop habituation, especially if they are not getting enough relief from conventional drugs and treatments.

Rinsing the nose with saline may be one of them. Rinsing the nose with physiological saline removes dryness of the nasal mucosa, reduces inflammation and restores the natural moisture and pH of the mucous membrane. ⠀

Also, rinsing the nose with a large volume of saline helps to reduce the viscosity of nasal secretions, relieve nasal congestion and improve nasal breathing. Saline nasal rinses also help maintain normal functioning of the cilia on the nasal mucosa. ⠀

Cilia are small, hair-like structures that help moisturize the air going to your lungs, trap bacteria to keep them out of your cells, and help recognize odors.

Saline rinsing solution helps remove pollen from the nasal mucosa. Its effectiveness increases if you use such a solution after walking outside. Also, using a saline solution before using a spray drug increases its effectiveness. ⠀

Thick mucus can interfere with the work of the steroid on the mucous membrane, and the saline solution will clear the nose of thick mucus and impurities. ⠀

For patients with pollen allergies, it is recommended to do one to three irrigations per day during the flowering season before applying the nasal sprays.
